The snap strap on the front makes a unique addition to the look and feel of the case, as well as functionally covering the snaps for the stand.

I don’t know if this was an intentional feature, but the snap is quite useful for propping up the ipad case in portrait mode as well. Here’s another instance where the divot stands would be useless. I’m actually quite fond of using my ipad as a digital frame, and find that in portrait mode, it looks very cool sitting on my desk in that configuration.

Another problem I had while looking through alternative ipad cases is that everyone seemed to think it was a good idea to have SD card holders and business card holders, etc. on the inside cover, resting right up against the screen. This is a HORRIBLE idea! Remember how fragile the iPhone screens are, and the thought of having anything sticking out against a touch screen as large as the iPad’s (let alone, with sharp plastic SD cards), was enough to give me shivers. People who know me also know I’m a bit of a cheapskate.
